Artificial lights are a pre-requisite for plant production in no-natural light growing environments. In the absence of sun light the quality of the light (spectrum) is accentuated to the highest degree. As artificial light in no-natural light, is the sole source of light, higher light intensities are also required, than in many supplemental light situations.
Higher light intensity also leads to a higher thermal load to be cooled in these no-natural light environments. A superior light spectrum allows, not only for higher crop yields, but also for lower intensities and less energy consumed to cooling too, thus the benefit from Valoya’s lights is very high.

Delayed Flowering and Rapid Biomass Build-Up

All Valoya spectra contain a wide range of wavelengths, like sunlight, thus feeding more plant receptors than red-blue LEDs or any traditional lighting technology such as HPS or fluorescent would.
Due to the spectrum’s unique Red:Far Red ratio, flowering is delayed, allowing the plant to focus all its energy into fast biomass development.
For a vertical farmer, being able to harvest even one day sooner might result in the leading position in the market.

A Greater Flavour and Nutrient Build-Up

The AP673L spectrum has been optimised for vertical farming. It’s unique red:far-red ratio delays flowering allowing the plant to focus all its energy into fast biomass development. Additionally, it has been found to produce 48% more yield in a trial on lettuce, than the competitor LED product.

Valoya has tested more than 60 spectra in over 500 trials thus far to be able to understand and optimise light so it feeds with exactly the wavelengths plants need.

The result is a nutrient and flavour dense plant produced with a minimal amount of power, creating savings for the grower and minimising the impact on the environment.

The luminaries have been carefully designed to ensure every light photon is directed toward the plant and not wasted.

The spectrum remains the same even when the luminaire is centimetres away from the plant thus avoiding stretching and overall uneven growth.

L-SERIES

With absolute light uniformity and no heat produced even when placed right above the canopy, the L-Series is ideal for vertical farming, tissue culture, growth chambers, grafting and growing cannabis in the vegetative stage. The T8 form factor allows the L-series products to be installed in fluorescent tube fixtures without modification (fixtures with magnetic ballast). By using optional end-caps the IP rating can go as high as IP64.

C-SERIES

Slim, High Intensity LED Bars.

Designed for growth rooms and chambers, tissue culture and vertical farming applications.

The C-Series was designed for applications such as growth chambers and vertical farming. These slim, dimmable LED bars are highly resistant to dust and humidity (IP66) and come in three different lengths.
